Our Food Pantry is open Monday-Friday,12:30pm-1:30pm, year round. We are closed for Federal Holidays that fall on weekdays.
Our Food Pantry is a Client-Choice pantry, which means we allow you to shop for the items that you want and that are relevant to you and your family.
You are able to come once a calendar month. We provide enough food for three days.
How to get an appointment for the Food Pantry:
We have just partnered with Plentiful to provide appointments to our guests for the pantry. To schedule an appointment:
- Text the word "START" to 646-257-2520
- Wait for the system to text you back - this will usually take a few minutes
- Respond to the questions that the system asks (e.g. Name, Date of Birth, Zip Code, Number of People in the Household, etc.)
- Select your preferred appointment date and time
Do not call the number - it is for text messaging only. As of now, there is no online website to make an appointment, you must text.
We strongly encourage our guests to make their own appointments using text message, but we understand not everyone may have access or the ability to do so. If you are unable to make an appointment, you may come in person at 12:30pm, and if there are any appointment times left for the day, you will be assigned an appointment time. You will also receive an appointment for the next month.
The Food Pantry is open to all who have a residence, and can provide proof for the number in their household. If it's your first time, bring your documents with you, and we will register you with our pantry. If for your first time, you don't have anything, that is no problem. You will still be served, but you will need to bring documentation with you next time.
Proof can take on many forms, including a lease stating how many live in your home, bringing multiple IDs with the same address/apartment, official mail (utility, New York City document, etc.) sent to multiple people at the same address, or anything else that will provide us with an accurate number of the people living in a house hold.
