  • Alex Lawrence

    Executive Director


    Alex manages all administrative and programmatic aspects of Trinity's Services, including fundraising and volunteer recruitment. Alex was featured on a special episode of Food Network's Chopped, featuring soup kitchen employees, and won! Alex has been with Trinity's SAFH since 2014 and a member of Trinity Lower East Side Lutheran Parish for over 10 years. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, making cocktails, and advocating for social justice causes. Originally from California, he's lived in NYC for over 15 years. with his husband Cody.

  • Dolores Rodriguez

    Kitchen Director


    Dolores oversees all menu planning and prepares the meals provided in our Soup Kitchen, serving over 1,000 meals a week, allowing for multiple diets and requests. She is a pillar of our program and in the community at large, having been working here over 14 years. She says she enjoys working at SAFH because we "help all different types of people." She is a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother! Her favorite color is the color Purple, and she loves the Alien movie franchise. A native New Yorker, Dolores was raised right here in Alphabet City. 

  • WIlliam Rosa

    Inventory Specialist


    William has lived in the Bronx, NY his whole life and loves it. He's athletic, funny, strong, smart, and kind. He is Puerto Rican and White. William likes to draw, sleep eat, cook, and work out. His spare time is spent with his girlfriend, family, and friends. His goal in life is to enjoy it. 


    Zhan was born in Northern China and moved to NYC with his family in 2016. He and his wife have two children, a boy and a girl, where they currently live in the Lower East Side. He often takes his kids to play in Tompkins Square Park, which he thinks is an amazing park. In his spare time he likes playing golf, badminton, and reading news. He enjoys working at Trinity's SAFH because helping people makes him happy!
