  • Kunga DIVIE

    Book Keeper and Administrative Assistant

    She/Her/Hers


    Originally from California, Kunga moved to New York to study at NYU. In her spare time, she enjoys watching horror movies, doing puzzles, and falling into research rabbit holes. She is most often pictured trying new foods and loves rating fun desserts.

    Pantry Director, Volunteer Coordinator

    She/Her/Hers


    As our Pantry Director, Na oversees all aspects of the Food Pantry, including distribution, check-in, and follow up appointments. Na also assists with the soup kitchen, with a focus on connecting with our ever increasing Chinese language speaking clients. She has been at SAFH since 2014. She grew up in a small town in China. Now her and her family live in Brooklyn. In her spare time, she likes to cook food from different countries, visit museums, and volunteers at many different programs. Her favorite movie is Dead Poets Society.

  • Alex Lawrence

    Executive Director

    He/Him/His


    Alex manages all administrative and programmatic aspects of Trinity's Services, including fundraising and volunteer recruitment. Alex was featured on a special episode of Food Network's Chopped, featuring soup kitchen employees, and won! Alex has been with Trinity's SAFH since 2014 and a member of Trinity Lower East Side Lutheran Parish for over 10 years. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, making cocktails, and advocating for social justice causes. Originally from California, he's lived in NYC for over 15 years. with his husband Cody.

  • Gloria Maldonado

    Kitchen Assistant

    She/Her/Hers


    In addition to assisting with meal prep and soup kitchen service, Gloria assists in the distribution of food in our Food Pantry. She loves bike riding, NYC parks, and cooking at home. She was born in Puerto Rico "a hundred years ago" and is a long time resident of the East Village. Her favorite flavor of ice cream is Cookies and Cream, in case you wanted to bring in a treat.

  • Elle Mera

    Bookkeeper and Administrative Assistant

    She/Her/Hers


    Elle assists in all financial and administrative tasks for Trinity’s Services. She joined our team in 2020 after moving to the Lower East Side. Originally from North Carolina, she has thoroughly enjoyed her 2 short years in NYC. In addition to her role at Trinity, she currently studies at NYU and is a volunteer advocate at CVTC. In her free time, she enjoys baking, long walks, and spending time with her housemates.


  • Dolores Rodriguez

    Kitchen Director

    She/Her/Hers


    Dolores oversees all menu planning and prepares the meals provided in our Soup Kitchen, serving over 1,000 meals a week, allowing for multiple diets and requests. She is a pillar of our program and in the community at large, having been working here over 14 years. She says she enjoys working at SAFH because we "help all different types of people." She is a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother! Her favorite color is the color Purple, and she loves the Alien movie franchise. A native New Yorker, Dolores was raised right here in Alphabet City. 

  • WIlliam Rosa

    Inventory Specialist

    He/Him/His


    William has lived in the Bronx, NY his hole life and loves it. He's athletic, funny, strong, smart, and kind. He is Puerto Rican and White. William likes to draw, sleep eat, cook, and work out. His spare time is spent with his girlfriend, family, and friends. His goal in life is to enjoy it.
